Service Solution Architect / Pre-Sales Solution Architect - Home Based

We are currently seeking a Service Solution Architect for a leading IT and Telecoms services company. The role can be home based and will involve travel

The Service Solution Architect will be responsible for the design and creation of service solutions in response to requirements from customers and partners. The service solution will cover all aspects of outsourcing and support, including monitoring, hardware maintenance, software support, service desk, remote management and service improvement, for both new business and renewal of existing contracted services.

The Architect will be responsible for evaluating requirements to establish a solution addressing customer needs and delivering value to the business. They will ensure completeness of solution requirements, establishing risks to the solution and preparing solution and commercial propositions for the bid review process. They will be a single point of contact for information on the solution design, creating the solution documentation and holding responsibility for accompanying sales to present the solution verbally to the customer. The Architect will be responsible for contributing to service development activities such as service and cost definition.

Experience RequiredThe Architect will hold strong written and verbal communication skills, ideally holding ITIL v3 Foundation certification. They will have experience and proven track record of leading bids and winning contracts ranging from £100k to £10million. The candidate will have the ability to understand complex customer requirements and articulate those from the customer's perspective and the ability to quickly understand a customer's environment to establish support and managed service requirements. They must have proven experience in creating a similar managed service / outsourcing / service solution and hold a good understanding of market trends and industry best practice for appropriate technologies. The candidate will have the ability to operate up to CxO level, when presenting, negotiating scope, technical and commercial. They will have the ability to operate, develop and create commercial models and the willingness to demonstrate flexibility with working hours where required to meet customer deadlines. They will ideally hold knowledge of contracts involving TUPE, structuring transitional and transformational approaches to contracts and extensive experience in developing managed service propositions for clients.
