SAS DI Systems Developer - Basingstoke - Contract

Our client, a British corporation, is seeking an SAS DI Systems Developer in Basingstoke to join their team on a contract basis.

SAS DI Systems Developer Role:

  • To develop and support robust systems solutions
  • To participate in code reviews of system development
  • To work to the development standards as defined by the Senior Systems Developer
  • To provide innovative ways in which to improve delivery whilst reducing costs and timescales
  • To create design documents
  • To create job specifications
  • To use the appropriate development methodologies for solutions for example waterfall or Agile techniques
  • To identify and escalate risks and issues with systems and data requirements
  • To create release documents
  • To stand in for the Senior Systems Developer when required
  • To undertake 24 x 7 support in line with the support roster

SAS DI Systems Developer Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent PL and Transact SQL Skills
  • To have excellent skills in one or more of SAS DI Studio
  • LSF, Unix or Linux
  • Good Experience of RDBMS
  • Experience of the Development Lifecycle
  • Experience of System Testing
  • Experience of Release Management
  • Experience of Oracle Stored Procedures
  • Experience of Oracle OBIEE
  • An Understanding of Oracle OLAP
  • Knowledge of XML
  • Knowledge of Java
  • Knowledge of Database Design, specifically Data Warehousing
