Infrastructure Dev Ops - Active Directory

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly respected organisation to work as part of a team to assure and deliver Active Directory and Identity and Access Management for a range of projects and BAU operations. The successful candidate will lead complex solution delivery for IT projects, working with in-house development teams and/or third parties to design, develop and implement infrastructure solutions.

Key Technologies:

Experience of the following technologies with the aptitude to take on the development and support of new technologies and vendors: -

  • Expert level knowledge of Active Directory on Windows Server 2008 and 2012
  • Excellent knowledge of Domain and Forest upgrades
  • Excellent knowledge of Group Policy administration
  • Excellent knowledge of Backup and Recovery
  • Strong knowledge of PKI infrastructure
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and 2012 systems administration and support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016 systems administration and support
  • Excellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS and DFS
  • Excellent knowledge of VBScript/Powershell for Windows & Power CLI
  • Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery testing
  • Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management, preferably Oracle IAM
  • Thorough understanding of monitoring best practices, preferably with BMC Truesight

As the ideal candidate you will possess experience of 24/7 operations in a similar sized organisation. You will have specialist knowledge of the above technologies and experience of the following technologies with the aptitude to take on the development and support of new technologies and vendors: -

  • Understanding of using Federated access, preferably with Ping
  • An MCSE certification in either Windows Server 2008/2012


  • 3rd line support, production and development environments
  • BAU maintenance
  • Application project support
  • Design and build
  • Develop and document standards, processes and procedures
  • Understanding of server performance tuning and optimization
  • Train, mentor and support team members
  • Provide 24/7 production support and be part of the out of hours call out service
