Lorien are recruiting a contract BI Developer on behalf of a global industry leading information organisation in central London. This is to take ownership of OLAP solutions, focusing specifically on customer subscription data to help the business gain insight into their digital audience which in turn will help drive business strategy, leverage knowledge and develop solutions to better engage with and enhance the customer experience.

You will join a skilled Data team who have recently built a new database for BI reporting and analysis. You will be responsible for supporting continuous development and will possess a mix of skills in:

  • SQL to write ETL scripts
  • Data modelling (Kimball, Inmon)
  • Strong experience with Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and SSAS
  • Experience with web data/analytics or identity management or CRM data
  • Python or Java
  • Amazon Redshift desirable

As part of this role you will be responsible for re-engineering and developing a custom built SQL tool as well as:

  • Understanding B2C subscription and marketing requirements
  • Gaining an understanding of subscription data, web usage and CRM data
  • Analysing downstream data warehousing and reporting requirements to determine appropriate data sources
  • Taking ownership of OLAP solutions to support the Finance and Subscription team
  • Ensuring QA across the design and implementation of new solutions
