We're recruiting a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to support customers for the network components of any disaster recovery tests or invocations. Working in a team who support approximately 200 customers, many of these customers are multi-platform (Mainframe, Work Area, X-series and P-Series). The vacancy is based in West London with travel around the UK.
Knowledge of wide range of networking protocols.
Cisco Formal Qualifications.
Willingness to travel and attend meetings at customer locations.
Flexibility to work unsociable hours to support customer tests/invocations - Test Support is sometimes 8am to 8pm or 24 hour shift pattern for 1 specific customer.
Overtime for extended hours/Weekend test/invocation support.
Cisco Network Engineering (LAN, WAN, FIREWALL etc.) Palo Alto knowledge, Cisco ACS, Solar Winds, PRTG, Secure CRT.
Cisco ASDM, Cisco ACS, Solar Winds, PRTG, Secure CRT, IBM Lotus Notes, CIRATS, IBM BOX, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide Network Engineering and Design support for both Disaster Recovery Testing/Invocations and Virtual Server Recovery Live Environment.
Manage Lotus Notes Task-ID (NSEDR) for day to day activities such as Test requests, Circuit outages etc.
Raise changes on the system e.g. IOS upgrades, Password Changes, Config changes
Provide Cisco kit configurations from Cisco tool to Order Management for pricing
Create and Update Network Design Documentation for new and current customer environments.
Manage/schedule the Nessus scans for all the non VSR & VSR estates.
Carry out quarterly health checks on Firewalls/Switches/Routers, rules validations, last resort changes.
Collate the syslogs on a 90 day basis.
