An experienced IT Change Project Manager is required ASAP to work full time on an initial 3 month contract in Ipswich, project is likely to extend through until the end of 2018.

Experience Required:

  • Project Management
  • Application Development experience
  • Deployment and Implementation (Rollout) of existing Applications
  • Financial Management & Cost control
  • Planview reporting tool
  • Experience of working within Commercial Insurance industry
  • Evidence of planning and executing roadmaps, releases and iterations
  • Proactive management of risks, reaction to issues and change under pressure
  • Solid grounding in one or more project management methodologies
  • Vendor or software experience of "Sequel"
  • PM qualifications e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, or other internal training
  • ITIL qualification above Foundation level
  • Vendor/ Supplier Management
  • Waterfall development - Agile is nice to have
  • Experience of working in a structured, governed project environment - gating, checkpoints

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3 concurrent projects
  • Leading teams of resources: BA's, Business Leads, Design, Software Vendor, Internal, Technical Product Owners, Test Teams, Service Operations, Release Management
  • Development of deliverables (Product Breakdown Structure) and Work Package definition
  • Delivery on an implementation/execution plan
  • Regular update of Planview portfolio management tool (reporting, risks & issues, resource)
  • Regular time-recording in timesheet tool and dependencies
  • Management of the project plan: activities, milestones and dependencies
  • Co-ordination of all resources assigned to projects, ensuring work is clearly understood and tracked
  • Reporting of progress to stakeholders, including Steering Group Management
  • Ensure all project governance is followed including production of governance documentation and progress reports
