Junior IT Technician - Permanent - Hertfordshire - Network, Applications, Windows, Active Directory

My client, a leading construction company, requires a Junior IT Technician to join them in their offices in Hertfordshire on a contract basis.

The overall responsibility of the Junior IT Technician will be to offer both hardware and software support in a 1st, & sometimes 2nd, line capacity within a Windows environment both over the phone and face to face across the business.

Accountabilities of the Junior IT Technician include;

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • Talking staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues;

Skills/Experience required of the Junior IT Technician include;

  • Experience with a variety of areas including both Networks & Applications etc.
  • Some experience working within a Windows environment would be advantageous (Office, Active Directory, Windows Server etc.)
  • An understanding of Business Collaborator or any other CRM system would be beneficial
  • Previous experience working with SOTI mobile device management or similar would also be beneficial
  • ITIL v3 Certification is desirable
