Head of IT Service Strategy and Operations - Contract- Basingstoke

Our client, a leading British Corporation, are recruiting for a Head of IT Operations and Service to join the team on a contract basis in Basingstoke.

Head of IT Service Strategy and Operations Role:

  • To lead the IT Operations and Service delivery team within the IT Organisation
  • Responsible for the management of the activities of the various internal and 3rd party teams.
  • Process ownership & execution for Incident, Problem, Change, Release & Configuration management
  • Identify root causes for serious or reoccurring faults
  • Lead the process to manage and resolve Major Incidents through to root-cause resolution.
  • Ensure a highly effective 24 x 7 service management process for all major systems issues, providing escalation and communication point
  • Ensure robust Disaster Recovery plans and solutions are in place and tested at least annually to meet agreed levels of service.
  • Develop and maintain a robust IT service take-on process, ensuring that all change projects meet objective handover criteria and non-functional requirements.
  • To define, implement and operate pro-active robust and service level based system monitoring and support processes

Head of IT Service Strategy and Operations Experience Required:

  • Competence in enterprise IT service delivery in organisation
  • Competence of implementing robust & successful ITIL compliant service delivery processes
  • Proven ability to develop back-to-back service level agreements with business units and internal/external support organisations
  • Experience of 24/7 systems support
  • Specific experience of large scale IT technology/infrastructure delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Demonstrable broad and up-to-date knowledge of the IT landscape;

Head of IT Service Strategy and Operations Skills:

  • Expert in Project Management methodology AND / or ITIL
