Enterprise Applications Architect / Architect / Enterprise Architect

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Applications Architect for a leading organisation in the Brighton and Hove area.

The Enterprise Applications Architect will be responsible for the analysis, solution generation and documentation of IT processes, systems and technical designs, working closely with project management, Business Analysts, test teams, strategic software providers and infrastructure services providers, to provide high quality, appropriate solutions to our business and their customers.

They will gain a deep technical understanding of the technical environment to ensure high quality, appropriate solutions are designed that align with IT strategy and integrate with the existing IT architecture

The Architect will work closely with Third party suppliers to ensure the quality and suitability of their technical solutions, challenging estimates, design concepts and collaborating with service provider teams to improve the effectiveness and timeliness of their deliveries. They will ensure documentation is accurate, updated regularly, that knowledge is shared.

To be successful in this role, you will hold experience in designing enterprise applications, ideally for e-commerce / digital solutions. You will come from either a software or infrastructure background but hold a holistic view of areas across IT and how they integrate in a complex IT environment. This will ideally include areas such as security, databases and data warehousing, application integration, and infrastructure.

You will hold knowledge of a Waterfall and Agile approach, with experience of working with distributed teams including offshore service providers and leading offshore teams in a matrix organisation.
