Lead Software Engineer (C#) - Permanent - London - C#, Cloud, Docker, EF, NoSQL

My 'Big 4' consultancy client are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (C#) as they look to expand their development consultancy capability within the FS sector.

The overall responsibility of the Lead Software Engineer will be to lead on the development of best in class web applications for a suite of the consultancy's Tier 1 clients whilst enabling the adoption and improvement of cloud and DevOps environments.

Experience/skills required of the Lead Software Engineer include;

  • Depth of experience in C#
  • Solution development and delivery into at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
  • Experience using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs and microservices best practice
  • Experience of utilising ORMs i.e. the Entity Framework
  • Fully conversant with Agile and XP methodologies/environments (Scrum, pair-programming)
  • Utilised SOLID code design and conducted design and code reviews
  • Applied a BDD/TDD approach in everything everywhere
  • Experience with NoSQL solutions (AWS DynamoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, CouchDB, Cassandra, Redis)
  • Strong understanding and application of secure software development principles in line with standard Information Security frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/TeamCity, Terraform, Octopus)
