Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Analyst / Systems Administrator

We are currently seeking two opportunities for Infrastructure Engineers to join a leading organisation in West Yorkshire, commutable from locations such as Leeds, Bradford & Huddersfield.

The Infrastructure Engineer will be supporting a Wintel and network infrastructure, providing 2nd & 3rd level support across areas including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, SAN and Exchange.

The candidate will ensure Wintel based systems are positioned for delivery of the IT strategy. They will hold the following technical responsibilities:

  • 2nd/3rd line fault resolution for issues affecting client experience and system performance.
  • Specifying, building, updating, maintaining, securing and decommissioning servers in line with policy and relevant standards.
  • Active directory administration including group policy creation and maintenance.
  • Administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of Microsoft, VMware, McAfee and other 3rd party applications.
  • Email (exchange and mail gateway) administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • SAN administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Blade system administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Automation/Scripting design, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Ensure network infrastructure is positioned to deliver the IT strategy
  • 2nd/3rd line fault resolution for issues affecting client experience and network performance.
  • Specifying, building, updating, maintaining, securing and decommissioning network equipment in line with policy and relevant standards.
  • Switch, Router and Firewall administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Dynamic routing administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Monitoring systems administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Network link administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.

The candidate will be required to work as part of a team, working within an ITIL framework.

They will hold proven experience in a similar infrastructure engineer role. Benefits include generous annual leave, private medical insurance, discretionary and pension scheme.
